The popularity of festival tattoos has reached record levels
The summer of 2025 was historic for Tattoo Mesta. The studio participated in a total of 15 different festivals, starting with Särkänmärkä in April and ending with the Vauhti Kiihtyy series at the end of the summer. At each event, the Tattoo Mesta tent was a place where music, art and people met.
During the festival season, the Tattoo Mesta team grew, collaboration with different artists intensified, and the concept became even stronger. The tent was not just a place to get tattooed – it was a meeting place, experience, and creative space that attracted curious passersby, first-time and experienced tattoo fans.
Many visitors came spontaneously – with a moment's decision that they wanted to immortalize. Simple symbols, patterns related to friendship and small memories of the summer became particularly popular. Tattoo Mesta artists made hundreds of tattoos in different parts of Finland, and each of them carried its own story.
In addition, the Tattoo Mesta team brought much more to the events than just a tattoo booth: a wheel of fortune, raffles, tattoo interviews and interactive moments made the stand a truly experiential experience.
During the summer, Tattoo Mesta artists proved that good tattoo art is born from collaboration and passion. The studio brought experienced professionals and emerging talents to the festival, who were able to show their skills to a large audience.
The events also serve as an opportunity to network with other artists and showcase Tattoo Mesta's community-based operating model, where each artist has space to grow and develop.
Tattoo Mesta's festival season was just beginning
The 2025 festival tour was proof that tattoos are here to stay in Finnish event culture. Tattoo Mesta plans to continue attending festivals in the coming years, developing the event concept to be even more diverse and entertaining.
